Prizren is a city full of culture and history mixed with contemporary art. Within a very short walking distance from Hotel Castello you will find the Hammam of Prizren, the Sinan Pasha Mosque, the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church, centennial objects that allow you to immerse yourself in a unique diversity of cultures. 

Dokufest, Autostradal Biennale, Zambaku i Prizrenit and many other cultural events, have put Prizren on the map of the biggest cultural events in Balkans and not only, being visited by thousand of tourists within a year. Shatervan, Hotel Castellos home, offers a wide range of excellent activities ranging from cinema, music, theater, and excellent galleries offering an amazing collection and a calendar of international exhibitions.

DokuFest, is an international documentary and short film festival, the largest in Kosovo, held in the city of Prizren.
This festival, which takes place during the month of August, fills the cinemas and makeshift buildings in the old fountain square near the Hotel Castello. DokuFest was founded in 2002 by a group of friends, and since then, this festival has grown and taken its place as a cultural event that attracts artists with over 200 international and regional films. The films are screened throughout the nine-day festival and are accompanied by programs, activities, and nightlife that you will never forget.
